Everyday Minerals @ FOX Sale.

By icyabstract · October 21, 2009 · 27 Comments · 326 Views

I was wandering around Anchor Point with the boyfriend (opposite Queensway Shopping Centre, for those who aren't sure) this afternoon after my medical appointment at Alexander Hospital. I always thought Anchor Point was kind of blah, but we thought to drop by anyway, to kill time.
And thank goodness we did, cause who would have thought to find this:

(excuse the quality, it was taken with a 2mpx phone-cam)

Yeap, stacks and stacks of Everyday Minerals products ranging from eyeshadows, blushes, foundations and all. The best part is that they have testers available, so if you have always wondered what your Everyday Minerals foundation shade was, you could go down and swatch a little.
Apparently this cart of gold was found in a very blah looking shop. It's one of those shops that are rented for a couple of months to house a sale so they don't bother doing it up.
To get what I'm saying, this is the front. And yes it's a FOX Sale.

As for FOX merchandise, I'm sad to report I got so fascinated with finding Everyday Minerals here that I didn't browse the racks.
I have never purchased Everyday Minerals from Singapore before, so I don't know what good rates are, but here are the prices:

Though it's not worth buying, it's still nice to see the colors of the products in person. And as mentioned, for those looking for a foundation match, you can swatch here and go back and place a spree order if you feel this is pricey.

I tried to take close-ups of the products but failed quite miserably. Damn phone camera.

Eyeshadows

Blush

I have kind of gotten out of the Everyday Mineral phase and am not that into it anymore so I didn't purchase anything.
I did swatch some of the gorgeous blushes though! haha.
But I just thought I'd share this with those who are interested.

OH! And if you want to grab these, or check it out, do so before the 1st of November!
That's when the FOX Sale is said to end.

That's quite cheap! Comparing to the retail price i bought in bugis junction!! $32 for full size blush!! Blardy-hell so expensive! I wonder if Salon Fun is available. Gargghh so tempting!

Thank you, Sara, for this info!
I guess S$12 for the blush is okay. That's how much people are selling in blogsales anyway.
but if you were to really purchase it from the website, it's about S$8.00-9.00.
so S$12.00 is alright for those who dont like to wait for their items to arrive.

I'm definitely checking this out tomorrow! =)

fionaleong: I took it this morning, I'm pretty sure you will make it if you drop by tomorrow (:

misschillipadi: Ooh, hope so! (:

heavenlygorgeous: No problem!

Makeupgeeek: Yeah I did hear stories of people getting EDM for over 30 bucks! That's a major rip-off if you ask me. I guess getting from the site itself would be cheaper, but to save yourself the hassle, this should be a decent price.

MissJology: Oh really? Wow I didn't know that, might go google it and found out which shade that is. haha.

retail_therapy: Yeah same here. I didn't feel the same heart-pumping adrenaline for EDM as I do for other brands like MAC or NARS. haha.

eyelashwishh: That's true. It's definitely cheaper getting it direct from the site especially with that full size kit thing. I guess it'll be good to go down and swatch stuff to make a list of what to get with an online order. haha.

WOW... it's alot cheaper compare to those selling at Robinson/John Little sales at EXPO!

"New Shoes" was very close dupe... but it is more redish compare to style demon!

i don't feel any adrenaline about edm either but ... i'm super lazy and always late, and mineral foundation is so far the fastest to apply. plus i find that i don't really need to use oil cleanser to wash it off, i just use ordinary cleanser.

so why're you "out of the Everyday Minerals phase" now haha .. have you found something much better?

diktat: I see.. I used to be obsessed with it, but these days I just kind of got a little sick of loose powder products. I tend to reach for pressed products, eyeshadow and blush included though I still do use loose powder for setting liquid foundation sometimes since it gives a better finish. But no, I haven't found like a better mineral company to be obsessed with. haha.

hmm, so what's your favourite or most commonly used foundation nowadays?

diktat: Liquid Foundation, such as Silky Girl's or Revlon's, depending on what coverage I want. Or plain ole pressed powder. I don't use Mineral Foundation because that breaks me out. The mineral blush and eyeshadow is fine though. Just that I don't like the messiness of loose stuff as much.

i agree abt the loose powder thing, i've stopped using their blushes cuz loose powder is just so annoying to deal with! grr. i'll probably get down to pressing them soon, lol.

xbeanie: True! Maybe once I get palettes and pans to press their products I might get back into them since they do have nice eyeshadow and blush colors.

My post is finally up! PHEW! Laughing out loud

I cant seem to press loose pigments properly. They seem flakey.. Sad Maybe I didnt add enough mixing medium?

I can die happily just looking at photos of sooo much Everyday Minerals! So this is where all the EDM have gone to after disappearing in Metro. Thanks for headsup Sara!

i believe this is the old edm packaging, i'm also not that into buffing mineral makeup slowly in the morning but i do love their finishing dust as a setting powder and concealer too.+

its scary how they can jack up the price to almost triple of what it originally cost...

Cheryl: Oh it was at the Metro? Lol I didn't know that, no problem! (:

purplio: Yeap, the finishing powders are usually fab. That is true! I don't know how some people can think to charge over 30 bucks. It's insane.

ooh, purplio what concealer do you use? i used golden fair for my face... but buffing extra foundation into my dark circles makes me have white eye circles haha. it's good for hiding pimples tho.

sara, your skin looks rly good all the time. it's not oily right? if only i had skin like yours hehe.

diktat: Aw, my skin really isn't that good. I have combination skin so it can get oily at my t-zone area.

I use EDM intensive concealer in fair, coverage is good and a lil goes a looong way, and it comes in sucha a tub too. for dark eye circles, EDM have a sunlight concealer which is good too Smiling
