This is a bit of a random post but I do realize I haven't posted in about a week so I wanted to churn something interesting out.
The reason for my absence is primarily because this is the last week of my school term and we all know what that means.
Yes, deadlines.
As of now I'm rushing to get my projects done to turn them in on time, so do bear with my absence for a bit! I've got so much to update and talk about and so little time.

But for now, I decided to share a bit of a clothing obsession that I have.
This post is sort of in conjunction to the 'what is your other obsession' tag being circulated about 2 months ago (yes I'm slow, I know. haha). It's a tag where you talk about something else that you are obsessed with collecting, aside from makeup.
In my case, my other obsession would have to be hoodies.

I wouldn't say that this is a straight-out obsession of mine, but rather a subconscious one?
Reason being, I don't make it a point to buy every single hoodie I see in the store. Instead, I just seem to be attracted to hoodies a lot more and tend to be geared towards buying these as opposed to buying dresses.
I don't have a lot of hoodies, as it is slightly impractical to own a ton of them in Singapore's weather where it's flipping 30 degrees celcius all the time.
But according to some of my friends, I have more hoodies then I need.
I don't entirely think that is true, but I'll let you guys be the judge.

Here are the hoodies I own:

Most of my hoodies are gotten from random stores so I wouldn't say they have a 'brand' to them.
I don't remember where I got all of them from, but I'll try to list them down along with outfits I like to pair them with.

I simply adore this crop hoodie, pair this with a tank top and jeans and it's the perfect 'girl next door' look.

I especially love the length of this hoodie, it's like a tunic so it goes geat with leggings too.

This hoodie has a sort of knitted-mesh design so while it's wool, it's doesn't feel  warm wearing it in Singapore. I love pairing this with a tank top and shorts for that casual look.

I've had this hoodie for the longest time ever, perhaps about 4 years or so. That explains why it looks washed out. I pair this hoodie with just about anything I need a hoodie for. It's my go-to hoodie, so to speak.

This is sort of my second go-to hoodie. I mean you can't go wrong with a white hoodie.

This is one of the more recent additions to my hoodie family. Like-wise, I pair this with quite a lot of things. The downside is that it is a little thick, so while it's great during school (classrooms are air-conditioned), it's not so good for the journey to school.

This is just a big woolly sweater. I usually use this for warmth over style. It's quite big and loose so it's great for snuggling up in, but not something I would wear for the 'fashion sense' of it.

I love this hoodie for it's extravagance. The minute I saw it on the shelves I knew I had to get it. This one is a little thick too so while it might fare well for air conditioned areas, when you're out on the streets on a hot day, you're probably going to melt.

Now this one has a bit of a story to it. I got this hoodie as a gift when I was about 12 years old and back then it was a 'regular-sized' hoodie for me. But about a year ago, while cleaning out my closet, I found this and decided to try it on, for the fun of it. It still fits and I can still wear it, though it's does stop above my hips now. It doesn't bare my whole mid-riff of course, but a bit of it does show through. I guess I just like how jersey-ish this looks with the strips and all. I don't wear this much, but it's cute to have.

So that's my little clothing obsession.

This post is merely a documentation sort of a thing talking about how I store my miniature MAC pigments.
Do note that I am not saying my method is correct or whatever, just sharing ideas and such. (:

So, would you believe that since I had gotten my hands on these mini MAC pigments (from the 2008 Holiday Collection) till now, I've not used them yet. Not even once!
The reason for that would be because it's a bit of a hassle to use them.
The bottle packaging that they come in has a fairly small neck and it's quite hard to get a brush in, and even then I don't really want to fuss with trying to scrape the product from the sides as it might get a little bit messy.
Here's what I mean by the small bottle neck:

I should have just held a brush alongside the opening so you could see the comparison but oh well.
You could probably stick a 217 in there, but some bits of the bristles might not be able to fit and kind of 'fray' a little.
The most ideal way would be to of course store it in little 5g jars which you could purchase just about anywhere.
But I decided to use what I have instead of going out specially to purchase those.

My replacement for 5g jars?
Contact lens cases. Brand new ones of course.

For contact lens wearers you would know that these come with every bottle of contact lens solution you purchase, be it the full size or travel sized ones.
My mom and I both wear contacts and I seem to go through the solution pretty fast while only changing the case of my contacts once every 2 months or so (I was my case after each use and make sure it's sanitized!).
Thus we do have a few of these stashed aside.

What I do is I simply pour a small amount of the MAC pigments in, not the whole bottle.
Incase I want to store the rest elsewhere in future.

Some might think that the ridges in contact lens case is a little 'in the way'.
But I'm fine with it. I think it helps when I want to pack the product in the brush to reduce fall out when using the pigments.

All you need to do is label them and you're all set.
By right, I labelled them before I poured the pigments in, cause it's easier to maneuver the case then.

So there's that!

I didn't transfer the Reflects Glitter out as I really don't think I would use it very often, plus a contact lens case has 2 sides and the other side would be left empty. So until I find another pigment to transfer out or something, I'll leave that in the bottle.

Like I had mentioned, a 5g jar would of course be a good enough method to store these,
but why go out and get something else when you can use what you have. Plus, in a way it's like saving the environment?
Haha.

p.s. I also store my depotted Urban Decay Primer Potion in the contact lens cases as you need about two 5g jars to store the depotted product but you can make do with 1 of these contact lens cases (1 contact lens case = inclusive of the left and right side).

I'm pretty sure I don't have to say much as many onsugar bloggers have already talked about this.
But for those who aren't sure of the on-goings, here's the run down.
This particular issue of L'Officiel is giving away an eyeshadow as a freebie when you purchase the magazine. The magazine itself retails for 5.90SGD, while the value of the eyeshadow given is said to be worth 75SGD.
There are 5 colors available, a green, sapphire, cranberry-red, black and silver-ish shade.
The one I have here is the black one (Glided Black).

The brand is said to be a European brand called Ed. Pinaud.
I have personally never heard of the brand, but the packaging of the product is mighty fine. It looks stunning, no joke.

Glided black is a beautiful black shade with gold glitter infused in it. It certain reminds me of MAC's Blitz & Glitz Fluid Line, a product I have been eyeing for awhile now.
Definitely a great color to add depth without using a plain old boring black shade.

That's just one 'swipe'. Really pigmented stuff!
Though I feel a little craving to rush out and purchase the rest of the colors, I don't think I eventually would.
It's too much trouble to hunt it down as it's almost out of stock everywhere (from what I know), and also though the colors are beautiful. I am guessing I have similar colors already.
Of course if I do run into a newsstand/place that sells this magazine and find it in another shade, I just might pick it up!
I'm just saying I'm not going on a scavenger hunt for it.

But seriously, I can't get over how beautiful the packaging is.

I saw this tag being done by retail_therapy and it seemed pretty interesting so I decided to do it as well!
The contents of this tag is pretty well summed up with the title of this post. (:

In no particular order,

1. Bronzing Powder in Bronzed - I love bronzers, enough said. I've tried a ton and I've had obsessions with various other bronzers (e.g Solar Riche) but I always find myself going back to this. I still love my other bronzers, but something about this particular one is especially pretty.

2. Refined Mineralized Skin Finish - I was on the fence about purchasing this and I did not get it when the Sugar Sweet hype was on. Instead I got it way after and boy am I glad I did. It's a gorgeous highlight shade for me (if I avoid the peach plagued portion).

3. Powerpoint Liner in Engraved - Judging from how miniscule this looks, it's pretty obvious how much I have used. It's kind of my go-to eyeliner if I'm not trying anything fancy, am rushing etc.

4. Browset in Show Off - This little baby right here has definitely changed my makeup-life in a way. When I first colored my hair a reddish shade I was constantly afraid that my brows weren't in-sync with my hair color, plus during that period I knew little about brow grooming. After I have acquired this, it's definitely made filling in my brows a lot easier, and a lot more 'in-sync'.

5. Groundwork Paintpot - I guess this is kind of my 'Soft Ochre'. It's not the exact same shade as my skintone, it's about a shade darker. But I love how I can just throw this on on it's own with some eyeliner and it still looks fab. It looks pretty with eyeshadow atop too, of course.

6. Studio Finish Concealer NW25 - This is probably my favorite concealer as it truly is industrial strength. The coverage is amazing and I actually don't feel that it is as drying as most people have described. Dry, yes a little, but not like drought-dry I haven't tried the Studio Sculpt one yet so I can't compare it.

7. 227 Brush - Coined my highlighter brush. I use this brush almost everytime I do my makeup. It places the highlight so perfectly and blends it into the other colors on the lids really well.

8. 217 Brush - Though I have it's counterparts the 222 and 224, I feel that I still prefer using and reach for the 217 more. It's just perfect for quick blending, crease color and some definition in the outer corner. This brush does a multitude of things. i've tried it with paintpots too and it applies them nicely.

9. 129 Brush - My go-to blush brush. Really not much to elaborate on here.

10. 165 Brush - I got this when it came out with Brunette Blonde Redhead and ever since I've been using this as a highlight brush. I can't imagine using another brush to highlight with as this one does the job perfectly. Also, when I am in a mad rush, I use this to sweep on some light contouring.

So that's it!
I tried to stick with products that are honestly my most used of all time, instead of what I am obsessed with now. Thus I didn't include eyeshadows, blushes and lipticks because I do alternate between them.
I guess the aim is to look back in 2 months and still feel the same about these products!

I was requested on youtube to do a Back to School tutorial and though I know I am a little late (as most schools in the US started about a week ago), here it is nonetheless!

I know there are tons of Back to School looks on youtube covering a range of different techniques and yada, so I wasn't sure if I wanted to do one. But as I was requested, I thought I would just do my spin on it.
To make it a little different from my other tutorials I have decided to only use drugstore products in this. The only thing I used that wasn't drugstore would have to be Urban Decay Primer Potion as I honestly didn't have a substitite for that.
