During the end of April I dropped by Japalang Pte Ltd's main office and met up with Sharon (Brand Manager) and Grace (Marketing Manager). Just some quick information, Japalang Pte Ltd is a distributor for several leading Japanese brands here in Singapore such as K-Palette, Cure, Gransenbon, LUV and many others.
Most of you locals might have seen K-Palette and Cure at majority Watsons stores and a couple other brands available at Sasa, though you can actually find all of these (and more!) online at Beauty Carousel - which is managed by Japalang. Beauty Carousel ships internationally(!!) so those living outside of Asia would not have to feel excluded from mentions of these products.
❧
The two ladies were very friendly and introduced me to the brands that Japalang Pte Ltd distributes, informing me about the different products. I was also handed a bag of goodies to try out.
I would be primarily doing video reviews and mentions for these, so reviews and such would only be up in July since that is when I would be able to start filming regularly again. I was going to post this intro up in June so it's not so far off from the review dates but figured since I have time now, might as well.
I have tried some products out but in this entry I'll mainly be introducing them, showing swatches or whatever is relevant. I would not be giving too many opinions - else this entry would get rambly. For each product, I'll post a link to it's page on Beauty Carousel for easy referencing; prices are also available on the site (in SGD/USD and other currencies).
Here's a breakdown of the stuff I got:

Cure Natural Aqua Gel [link]
I was super excited to get this product to try out because I have sampled it before and I love how it works! It's an exfoliant that removes dead skin (from your face) in a very gentle and non-abrasive manner. In fact it doesn't even have granules or scrubby bits like typical exfoliants. It is also a super popular product seeing as a bottle is sold every 20 seconds in Japan.

K-Palette Real Lasting Volume Mascara (Waterproof) in Jet Black [link]
This mascara does make your lashes exist though I find it seems to deliver more length then volume. Perhaps when the formula thickens over time due to air exposure it might volumize better - we'll see, I shall try it out more before I past judgement.

K-Palette Real Lasting 24h Eyeliner in Regular Black [link]
They were out of the waterproof version so this is the non-waterproof one which I have actually hauled back in 2009. I'm not sure if it was reformulated since then though the packaging looks exactly the same, but I'll still try this out and see if I feel the same about this one compared to the one I had before.
I like how fine and easy to control the brush of this product is.
When swatched on my hands, because of the little lines and all we have there it tends to bleed out a tad (as captured). I don't have this bleeding out veining problem on the lids.

K-Palette Real Lasting Eyebrow Liner in Greyish Brown [left] and Natural Brown [right]
[Greyish Brown link] - [Natural Brown link]

Greyish Brown - 02, Natural Brown - 01
Right now since I have dark brown hair, I'm using the Greyish Brown shade however in June I will be coloring my hair Auburn once more so I'll most likely switch over to using Natural Brown.
I can't express how much I love using this! It's really easy to use, much easier to control then the Canmake ones and you know I have talked about those a lot. A little bit of a rave right here and I will surely explain more on why I love it in the review with an application demo but for now take my word for it, it's a great product!
Incase anyone is wondering, the Eyebrow Liners I had been handed came with an eyebrow scissors attached though the ones for sale on Beauty Carousel and on shelves in Watsons don't. I'm pretty sure the sets with eyebrow scissors (if available anywhere) would cost more then those that don't - let me know if you have seen the ones with scissors around!

Very blah shot of the watsons display, taken with my cellphone.
UPDATE!: Sharon (brand manager) had just informed me that the set with scissors cost the same as the ones without. It's a special packaging from Japan and they only sell it during roadshows - as of now. Sorry for the confusion if any!

LUV Carat Trio Eyeshadow in Cool Gray [link]
The photo truly doesn't do it justice but that's what happens when I try to take shots of highly reflective objects at night with flash. The entire product is really a sleek and sturdy 'metal' packaging with black and white jewels at the top forming checkers.
The packging is adorable and the eyeshadows are typical to that of Japanese cosmetics - with shimmer/sheened to give that dimensional approach. This palette is also available in 2 other shades, Princess Pink and Glamorous Brown.
I haven't had a chance to create a look with these shadows just yet, so no comment on application and all that for now

LUV Carat - Natural Beige in Pink Diamante Jewel Case [link]
This is a loose setting powder encased in a gorgeous blinged packaging. It does not provide coverage and is solely for setting your foundation with. It is said to be equipped with sebum controlling properties and also the popular Hyaluronic Acid to keep your face moisturized all day. How Hyaluronic works in a dry powder form, I'm not too sure but I will feedback in my review about it.
This loose powder comes in 4 different types with this (Natural Beige) being one of the milder ones. It is not a matte setting powder as it provides a slight sheen (not shimmer!) which I failed at capturing on camera, but I will try again!
The three shades are various degrees of shimmer - Light Beige (with slight shimmer particles), HIghlight Pearl (with intense silver shimmer) & Golden Pearl (with intense golden shimmer).
The bejewelled tops change color with each different 'shade' or 'type'. I have been using this to set my foundation of late but I do want to try it out more before making any verdicts. I am however loving the glowy sheen it gives.
❧
So that rounds up my introduction to the goodie pack I had gotten from Japalang Pte Ltd. I will continue trying these out over the course of now till July so hopefully at that time I'll have in mind what to mention and be able to get reviews up quickly!
Before I go I want to mention that Beauty Carousel also has a facebook page! There you can be updated with what new stock they have, what's in stock and all that jazz. Hop on over!
Thank you so much for reading!

Oh I've been quite curious about the LUV Carat powder ever since I read Mag of Makeupstash's feature on it. I'm quite sorely tempted to try it out, if only for the packaging. I hope everything works out well for you!
