Goodies: NIP + FAB Body Fixing Products!

By icyabstract · July 9, 2012 · 2 Comments ·

I had introduced NIP + FAB's arrival to us in a earlier entry and within this post, I will showcase the products that will first be available to us!

As I had mentioned, NIP + FAB is making their debut with their body care products, along with plans to launch their skincare / makeup segment only in the later part of the year.

While it is quite a wait till October to get more NIP + FAB on our hands, I think the current range of products are enough to keep us occupied for a little while!

There is a bit of science and explanation with the description for each product thus making the post a wee bit wordy. Though I find when using products that target and zap, it's sometimes a little better to know what happens 'under the skin'.

For the interested souls, do read on and for those who aren't big on words, you may skim through the post and pick up on the highlighted portions!

Starting off with the heavy duty '-FIX' products, we have Tummy Fix!

TUMMY FIX (S$29.90)

This product promises to lighten and tone some abs with the ease of simply slathering on some cream. The revolutionary formula claims to help tighten, tone and also smooth out the tummy area. The wonder ingredient behind this body-beautiful product is Amarashape, a highly effective combination of fat burning actives to refine the body contour.

The active substances found within Tummy Fix would be caffeine and also synephrine, both of which help in breaking down lipids in fat cells.

Case studies have shown a decrease in abdominal girth by 2.5cm and increase in skin smoothness by 23%.

CELLULITE FIX (S$29.90)

Cellulite is probably the word that females hate the most of all since they are such stubborn buggers. Thus, it's NIP + FAB's Cellulite Fix to the rescue, to rid dreaded skin dimples or orange peel effect with CellActive®- SHAPE, a complex enriched with a powerful combination of Indian forskolin and caffeine.

This product works by stimulating lipolytic activity (releasing fatty acids from fat cells), reduces the fat deposits in the tissue and also work at the irregular surface by improving skin micro-relief.

BUST FIX (S$29.90)

Hello to most girl's new friend. Well, those who don't need this I am side-eyeing you jealously right now.

Bust Fix isn't a miracle cup-booster but what it does aim to do is to improve the appearance of your cleavage. This serum will help to plump, smoothen and firm the skin around the bust and décolleté. Aside from bust size improvement, this is also ideal for skin that has lost elasticity.

Simplifying the logic to what we had heard at the event, CellActive®- FORM is used to help target and 'fatten' the fats within the bust, which helps give it that fuller and plumper look.

Some tummy / thighs or cellulite targeting creams tend to give a warming / heated feeling, sort of like proving a point and showing that they are working when that effect really does nothing. I don't know about you but I personally dislike that odd sensation. It's like lip plumping effect, for the body.

Fortunately, with the NIP + FAB 'targeting' products, I detected nothing of the sort. The creams applied very much like my usual moisturizers and on top of that are absorbed very quickly and do not leave any greasy film behind. Scent-wise it is quite hard to describe but it's a little refreshing (like mint but not really) yet with a typical lotion pleasant-ness.

I'll admit, I am doing a horrible job at describing this but it is in no way unpleasant (to me) yet still has a unique edge of it's own. Simply put, go give them a whiff!

Now that we have the body sculpting and improving ones done, lets move on to the moisturizing '-FIX' products.

DRY HAND FIX (S$15.90)

This was the only product with an ingredients list printed on.

I can't start to explain how much I am loving this hand cream. It was love at first use and while handcreams are, well,  handcreams... I have been reaching for this one pretty often!

Enriched with shea butter, this hand cream (like all others out there) looks to moisturize and hydrate your dry palms. The idea of 'shea butter' might make you categorize this as 'thick', 'greasy' or 'icky-smelling' though surprisingly, this is far from all that. Maybe the scent is subjective but this handcream sinks into the skin extremely quick and hardly leaves much of a trace behind, no greasy stick and no odd film after yet leaves the skin feel soft and hydrated.

Aside from hydrating it also contains amino acids to help brighten and revitalize your hands.

DRY LEG FIX (S$15.90)

Theoretically this functions just as well as Dry Hand Fix and I would love this as much except at 100ml it seems a wee bit small but some leg-slathering hydration.

That aside, like Dry Hand Fix, Dry Leg Fix is a good hydrating production to use and absorbs just as quick on the skin. Containing shea butter along with glycerin to help soften and hydrate, this intensive balm also includes Aquaxyl, an innovative moisturizing and restructuring hydraconcept to improve water reserves in the skin by preventing water loss in cells, thus improving the skin surface.

If it is of any motivating factor, Dry Leg Fix is a celeb fave and Jennifer Aniston was spotted giving her legs a quick fix with this!

MULTI-FIX OIL (S$19.90)

Not everyone is a fan of body oils but this winner of the Pure Beauty Award could perhaps change some minds.

This is a multi-purpose product to combat any hydration woes if Dry Hand or Leg Fix is too light for you. Best used on drier areas like the elbows, knees and soles of the feet, this can also be slathered on to your thighs, body and arms and even face for that extra hydration! Pretty much your best pal if you sleep in air-conditioning.

Multi-Fix Oil also contains ingredients to target scars and stretch marks with key ingredients like borage oil, safflower oil and blackcurrant oil for an all-around hydrating, softening and brightening purpose.

So phew! That is a run down of what is currently on the shelves for NIP + FAB.

I have not actively started on the body sculpting products so I can't speak for their effectiveness but it all sounds very enticing. The products themselves are reasonably priced thus making it worth a shot since it's not like you are risking a hundred bucks on a tummy cream. If anything, they do feel moisturizing and nice to slather on.

However, I always feel it is necessary to mention that reliance on body creams itself may lend results but they aren't miracle workers! At the end of the day, being mindful over your food intake and exercise is the way to go but girls being girls, such creams are helpful comrades!

Incase you are lost for choice at what is currently out there, my favorites of the bunch right now would be Dry Hand Fix and Dry Leg Fix! Only because these are pretty 'immediate' in their effects. Heh.

NIP + FAB is now exclusively available at Watsons!

Thanks for reading! Are you intrigued with anything by NIP + FAB?
