Haul: First MAC Foundation

Hello all, just dropping a quick post to say that I have finally gotten my very first MAC foundation!

That might sound so strange considering I have hauled from MAC many times before but I never thought to purchase their foundations – until now.

I didn’t pick up anything special, just the Studio Fix Powder Foundation for touching up as my current (Revlon) pressed powder has hit pan and is reaching its last few uses.

The reason I chose to get this? Well, I don’t know, I was just curious about their foundations and thought it would be safer to try the powder first.

This shade looks pretty light (and it is kind of light to be honest) in the photo but it's a wee bit less pale in person. Put along-side the rest of my powder foundations this one really does stand out as being 'lighter' but I'll trust that makeup artist knows whats best. It blended pretty well when the MUA tested it out in-store with a jaw swatch.

Will have to try it out to see, I want to finish up on my Revlon one before starting on this.

A slightly pointless and quick post so to end it off I’ll list some items I’m lemming from MAC's upcoming Peacocky collection. Was browsing the entire collection *ahematwork* and a good number of things caught my eye, which is sad on my bank.

I would probably not get everything in the end, just because I've been spending quite a bit lately (food, hauling, etc). I'm hoping to go on a holiday this year so I had better start saving if I want to splurge then! But Tweet Me is one I'm really setting my eyes on because I'll have the most use for it plus the name is just perfect.

I got my friend to get me Spectacle of Yourself! Laughing out loud I'm excited to get it!hehe & you finally got the foundation! You have been thinking about it for awhile right? I rem that was the first time I tweet-ed you, about if I like studio fix compact.lol!

elizaheartyou: Yeap! I've been debating for awhile and looking for 'the right time' to drop by MAC to get my shade checked out and all. haha. I can't wait to start trying it. Spectacle of Yourself is a gorgeous color! (:

the makeup blogette: I'm wondering about the texture too, if it's really as they say, similar to the Starflash ones. I like how they come in a huge huge pan, don't know why but it's kind of cool. haha.

I guess most pp's first purchase from mac would either be the studio fix foundation or a lipstick, hehehe...I wished I started blogging at 16 coz that way, I will be able to document the first lipstick that I got fr Mac. I can't remember the name. Sigh... Just remember that it was a creamy neutral shade,

ladeekim: Yeap I'm excited about the texture of it too! I imagine it to all velvety, soft and smooth, hope it really does feel like that!

hazelnutt: Hmm if I'm not wrong my very first purchase from MAC was a lipstick! haha. Peachstock I think... Oh well, at least you remember the shade! You could relate it to something existing, maybe Blankety? haha.

The shadows.. I have been eyeing the Odalisque and Noir Plum... but need to swatch it first(lolx)

That lipstick was the first item I got fr Mac. There are way too many shades now to narrow it down. He he... Good thing u remember what u first bought Eye-wink

Haha I also just did a review on chanel foundation and its the first item I bought from Chanel cosmetics. I can't remember what my first MAC item was but I think its also a lipstick. I have use MAC lightful foundation and have gone through 2 refills of that. Its not bad not sure about the studio fix though.

everbluec: haha but what I noticed is that I'm slowly starting to like asian brands for their foundations. It just seems to work better and all, so I guess it's preference. I'm trying MAC out but not sure if I'll be loyal to this or repurchase, will have to see!

hazelnutt: I see, and there are probably newer shades being introduced since then or it could've been dc-ed haha. oh well.

MaddyMadeline: Oh yeap I saw your review on the feed, haven't read it just yet. Ooh I remember you using the Lightful foundation. I've tried that from a sample the MA handed to me but it's so strange. the NC30 for Lightful is still too light for me, lol. But that foundation didn't quite work as well for me, seemed a little patchy of something. Can't remember now but wasn't a big fan, glad it's worked great for you though!
