LOTD: Anna's Blues (+ outfit!)

Hello everyone!

I haven’t been updating due to a busy period at work with this up-coming event. It is a good and bad thing to know that the end is drawing nearer; good because it will all be momentarily over (it’s a bi-annual event) and bad because things are always bound to go wrong at the last minute. It’s my first time handling this event and I am all alone on the design side as the other designer had left. So that’s why I whine about working overtime and having loads to do because I am handling two person’s share of work :(

But anyway, this was the look I wore to work today.
Yes, a Saturday. Insert another sad emoticon.
I try to wear colors on weekends, since I’m wearing browns all week. My work place isn’t particular about needing to have neutral makeup so unless I’m in a rush, it’s colors for work on Saturday!

Today I decided to use the blue Anna Sui duo I got from this gathering. Believe it or not, this is my first time using this one. My bad, I was always using the purple duo.

It seems I turn to greens and blues a lot when I’m going for colored looks - I believe I have already mentioned this. I have used other colors in older LOTDS but it seems it’s just greens and blues these days.

How about this:

You all suggest a color for me to use the next time I do a colored LOTD! If it doesn’t look horrid (ha-ha) I shall post it up! Or even if it does look bleh I’ll post it, just ‘cause.
So list a color, one color and I will try to incorporate it.

Lastly, my outfit!

Saturday is the day where you can dress casual (and wear blue jeans), in the words of my colleague, you could even wear a bikini to work and no one would care. Not that you really should…

The dress-top I am wearing is actually my boyfriend’s shirt. I always snag from the boyfriend and brother’s wardrobe. It’s a little short at the sides so I wore shorts under, also because I am still going to work (though shopping after!).

So that’s it, hope everyone is enjoying their weekend; I know I am! I am trying hard not to think about work on Monday.

RED! I've seen a few editorials where the models spot with red eye shadow! I always wanted to do that but i dunno how and do not want to look like an undead, you know what i mean.

Also dunno if red works on our asian skintone.

amyrleex: Thank you dear (: I will! Ooh pink, haha yes I think I've only used pink once and I don't know if I have a LOTD of it up! Will think of something because I always fear using pink incase it turns out looking like a sore eye. haha!

Janis Ng: Whoaaa, red is indeed editorial! I think I could do a LOTD for it but I'm not sure if I'll wear it out, but maybe... since it's Christmas soon it wouldn't be such a big deal if I wore that to parties, yes? I know what you mean about it, I'll play around with it and see how it turns out. I'm expecting it to go kind of gothic/undead tho... We'll see!

Cheers to snagging actual boyfriend's shirts lol! I did that with jeans too but because he's much taller than me, I looked overly on the hip-hop side >.<
I'm also sticking with blues n greens a lot for my 'colourful days'. I say go for a yellow n pink! It wont look like a sore eye if u make it really sharp/obvious?

idakz: Orange seems possible, yellow feels a bit challenging for me, unless I take the safe route and blend it out with some brown or something. haha. Will see how that goes, thanks for the color suggestion!

Layla88: I think if I were to give it a shot I'll try pink first. It seems possible to wear that out, I guess I have a few looks in mind for that one! Aha, and I know what you mean. If I wore this shirt without a belt it would look so odd.

AutumnCandy: Yeap! Especially when I take transport to work and know that these people are probably going out or shopping but I'm going to work. haha.

i love the blue eyeshadow Smiling im the same. brown all the time. tbh i dont wear makeup often, but when i do, its always brown =/ im bout to get some blue eyeshadow so im excited Laughing out loud ill try out this look!

and i love your bf's shirt on u lol. looks really good! i agree with layla88. "Cheers to snagging actual boyfriend's shirts lol!" hahaha that made me laugh xD cuz we always go into a store and they're like "the new boyfriend shirt!" lol and urs is actually one from ur bf.

I love this Anna Duo... but I haven't been using it much..mostly using the purple duo Sticking out tongue (that purple was such a pretty color lolx)

I didnt noe blue eyeshadow can be nice too till i saw this entry.. nice blog Smiling btw do some reviews on lip concealer can? thanks... does it help to cover up dark lips prior to lipstick application? Smiling

dimsumdolli3: Haha yeap I was trying to snap some shots before I went to work so i didn't even bother waiting till the background was clear. Haha yes on days when you just want to wear something new but don't want to shop for new clothes, wear your husband's clothes!

ichigobunnie: I know what you mean! If it's a big night I think up all these color combinations to wear but at the end of the day I think, neutrals are probably the best way to go! haha. Aw yes, why go out and get a 'boyfriend's shirt' when you can snag one from the boyfriend X) Thanks dear!
