LOTD: MU with Glasses

By icyabstract · February 3, 2010 · 14 Comments · 491 Views

I hardly show pictures/footage of myself with glasses because I seldom wear them out of the house unless I am too lazy to be bothered or if I am going somewhere nearby. Don't get me wrong, I don't see anything wrong with glasses nor do I hate them. I just feel that with glasses on I don't usually do very much with my make up. Like no bright colors or heavy liner, so I tend to wear glasses on days I am too lazy to bother with much makeup.

Today I was going to the library to do some research for school and I figured I really didn't want to fuss with contacts or makeup. So at long last here's a Look of the Day guest starring my plastic frames.

It's an incredibly simple and default neutral eye, but just to show you how I like to wear my makeup when I'm donning glasses.

Product Used:
FACE
- Silky Girl O2 Liquid Foundation
- Revlon Translucent Setting Powder

EYES
- Splash Proof Sealant
- Lumiere Cosmetics Eye Pigment in Champagne
- L'oreal Brazilian Duo (reddish shade)
- Revlon Colorstay in Nude Elements (highlight color)
- MAC Powerpoint Liner in Engraved
- No mascara!

CHEEKS
- Canmake Powder blush in PW11

LIPS
- YSL Rouge Volupte in No. 1 Nude Beige

Yes, no mascara! I find that with glasses at least I don't like to apply mascara because it causes my lashes to feel odd against the frame of my glasses. I know in most cases it's more important to use mascara to brighten and open your eye up, but I don't like it.

And that's the YSL lipstick I got awhile back. It's a pretty color which I feel I can only wear on occasions as such. When I... how'd you say, doll up or girly-fy my makeup? Not that makeup in itself isn't girly or anything, but I think you get my drift.

I still love my peaches and nudes you see (: Though this color is lovely.

Thanks for reading!

Disclaimer: Lumiere Eye Pigment in Champagne had been sent to me by Lumiere waaaay back. I'm using it because I love the color, I had not been asked to feature it nor am I being paid to use it. One item product disclaimers are quite random... Lol.

Heyyy .. did you colour all your extensions? they look lilac-y in the pics. Or is the 500 late nights finally getting to my eyes?

Agree with Sophia, very casual chic! And I like how soft your blush look (canmake.. hmm... I always those they were too shimmering)

cocomotion: As in my extensions in this current entry? If so then I would say the 500 late nights are getting to you Kas. haha. I've only colored them once in that lilac entry. You need to get some sleep girl~

everbluec: Oh the Canmake blush that I use is actually a matte blush! Well I think it is, no shimmers or anything at all on it *shock horror!* haha. It's the one that comes in a rectangle and rather flat transparent casing.

Wow! No mascara? Your lashes are so full and long! I love your "almost no makeup" made-up look! Smiling

everbluec: I don't know if it's still available or anything though. Haven't dropped by a drugstore in eons! haha.

icefrost: Aw thanks, though my lashes really aren't that full or long actually. Might be the canmake lash thingy helping! haha. I don't remember how my lashes originally looked before I started using it.

Nice look!

I used to not use mascara because I couldn't wear contacts(that time) and they keep hitting agaisnt my glasses, but my new glasses don't have that problem so i am happy!

honeyxkaori: My current frames don't really give me that problem either (not as much as my super old pair), but sometimes it does like 'rub against' and my lashes feel odd. haha.

Nice !

Nice specs by the way ! I have never been able to look nice in specs. It's either a 'Nerd' or a 'Professor' for me.......My friend told me that half falsies are wearable with specs, have you ever tried that ?? XD

Iliaric: Aw thanks. I think it's about finding the right pair of frames. I used to have a frameless one and I absolutely detested wearing that one out because it just made me look geeky, not in a good way. haha. But I think with this pair I don't mind wearing it out so much.
Hmm, well my problem is that I am not very good at wearing falsies to begin with. haha. But when I get the hang of it I'll try half falsies with glasses.
