Hello all!
Well it appears the onsugar glitch is acting up again however it sort of comes and goes? While it's gone, I best try to put up this quick post!
I wanted to do a finishing summary based on my skin condition and summing up this whole process with Adonis. This is mainly for reference for anyone interested in the treatments, in Adonis, or just for me to document my own thought process after this.
The Adonis Singapore Blog Awards voting period has ended and I'm pretty sure that omy.sg has already accounted for all the Adonis posts that we have put up so this post really isn't for any positive effect on the competition but purely to share my thoughts. Since the priority of this whole treatment process to begin with was to share my thoughts and opinions with you all.
Incase you haven't checked out my previous Adonis sessions, here are the links once again before you proceed to read about my summary/thoughts.
- Briefing/Health Scan
- Sparkling Peel (first treatment)
- Customized treatment (in place of Aura Chakra)
- Nano 139 (final treatment)
This post might be a bit wordy so bear with me and yay to you if you choose to read!
Before this treatment session, the last time I had gone for a facial appointment was probably almost half a year ago. Yes, I'm just that horrible with it. I used to go for facials regularly when I was younger because my mom insisted I start young and signed a package for me. But I never really saw how it was crazy beneficial for me and never liked the extraction process so I stopped after my package was over.
I did some facial sessions here and there but nothing really committed or personalized to my needs. Just basic, mask, extraction, mask, tadah.
However after under-going a series of Adonis treatments, I was really quite surprised at how much better my skin condition was in simply a month.
I'm not hard selling Adonis here, I'm pretty sure if you find a reputable beauty place that offers you a range of different treatments for whatever skin condition you might face, that would work. Though on hand, Adonis is the only one I know of that does this, have tried and would recommend since I'm not comfortable promoting something I have never personally tried.
Here are some photos of my skin (no makeup) and I took these about a week after my last treatment.
The treatments are no miracle workers, you can still see my acne marks and some spots, but they did help remove the clogged oil glands that I had, a problem that seems to recur with me. They have also cleaned out the blackheads on my nose and with the Sparkling Peel, I felt that my pores have been minimized a little.
I don't have a complete Before photo because I was initial just thinking this whole treatment process was just going to hydrate my skin and all. I really did not expect them to be able to clean my skin out. Though to be fair, I don't face extremely severe skin issues - just blackheads, the occasional clogged pores, acne scar (pigments) and bumps from post-spots.
After the treatments I started choosing to wear compact powder over liquid foundation and if I wanted that extra coverage for an occasion I reached for my Make Up For Ever HD Foundation instead of the full coverage Revlon Colorstay Liquid I used to love.
Here's a day inwhich I was wearing the Lancôme Maqui Miracle Foundation, known to have light coverage.
Right now it's about 3 weeks after the treatment and my skin has been going back into it's normal mode, breaking out and all. I can clearly see how good skin and treatments are something that has to be maintained!
Okay to wrap up this long rambly entry, I guess what I'm trying to say is that having good skin is of course very important and in some ways we are unable to obtain it without professional help. I used to think there's nothing a little acne cream can't help with, or pore essence and while those do aid in some way, it's only to a certain extent.
I never thought facials or treatments would be crucial but apparently they do make a difference. They aren't a cheap thing to commit to either but if you wanted to look good on a certain day, it's always good to book some facial sessions a month or two before and in the right hands your skin will be pampered and rejuvenated at the same time!
Again, this post is mainly for me to ramble about something I've come to realize. I wasn't required by Adonis to mention this and I think having good skin is just something that everyone is constantly working towards.
Thanks for reading my ramble!
p.s. And also a big thank you to those that have dropped a vote (or more) for me!
