I am rather belated with this review as I have had this on hand for a good while now. I keep putting it off to test it out when I have on a darker polish (so you can really see it being removed) yet my past couple of manicures were nothing dark. I would attribute this to Murphy's Law again since right now, after removing my earlier shades, I am wearing a fairly dark polish shade.

Such is life.

But anyway, I had to resort to using this because I ran out of cotton pads and a situation as such would be highly ideal to reach for these individually packed nail polish removers.

Each Sensi Touch box comes with 15 individually sealed packs, as such.

The scent I had received is Lavender though it is also available in Rose, Jasmine, Honey Peach and Unscented on Mei Mei Signatures.

Each pack contains a cloth soaked with the remover, which is acetone free so you will find that it doesn't dry your skin out like regular (acetone) nail polishes do. These also contain Aloe Vera for that added moisture.

Aside from the cloth to remove your polish, there is also a touch-up swab which you can choose to use while removing the polish or keep it till after, to touch up the sides of your freshly painted nails.

The cloth comes folded into 3 and instructions state to use it while still unfolded and gradually fold it outwards. This is to maximise the usage of the cloth.

Though what I did was to unfold it (oops...) but not entirely, only the sides so it's a long strip and work from one end to another, whichever works really.

I personally found one cloth removed my manicure really well, considering what I last had on was 3 coats topshop's nail polish + 1 seche vite over, followed by cracked polish on the tips + seche vite coat again.

While that's no high diffculty feat, as compared to removing glitter, 1 pack was certainly enough to remove 10 fingers of the above and still soaked / functional enough for me to clean off my rather unsightly and chipped pedicure too.

I always assumed nail polish removers had to have acetone so this was a very different product to encounter.

It feels a little greasy and it is well soaked at the same time so... imagine that this is cleansing oil, for your nails.

While the nature of this product makes it good to carry around with and remove your nail polish on-the-go, I find it is important to have access to water. This does leave the hands feeling greased up and rinsing is necessary after the job is done.

Thankfully the oil rinses off very easily, like cleansing oil, and doesn't leave a film behind.

The cloth and q-tip both feel sturdy, the q-tip though spongey feels firm enough to press down against the sides and really scrap at the polish. While I don't think the cloth will withstand rough abrasion from glitter overload, perhaps light shimmer bits will do it no harm.

I don't recommend this for glitter polish removal but life is all about experimentation and you could try if you wish! If you were to do the soaking method (somehow), at least it wouldn't 'bite' your fingers, which is what acetone polish removers do to me.

Last but not least, the oil quality of it actually does a good job of moisturizing the region around the nails. Typically after polish removal I will have to slather my cuticles and finger tips with hand cream but in this case, everything rinsed off to be soft and hydrated.

In Conclusion...

A pack of 15 retails for S$12 on Mei Mei Signatures and while I don't think this will replace my nail polish removal process, I will agree that it is a good pack to have around. Plus if you don't use it too much or often, one pack will last you a good while.

You can throw one or two sealed packs into your bag, or perhaps bring it along when you travel, have a slumber party etc. If you have them around the house it could prove useful if you 'suddenly' run out of cotton pads and need to change up your manicure for an occasion. They are a nice thing to use aside from the norm and a bit indulgent. If you nails are feeling particularly dry and an acetone polish will hurt or make them feel worst, this is a good change.

In all it's an interesting product and I am liking them! Now, I wonder if there are acetone free nail polish removers in bottled liquid forms. I'm pretty sure there are some out there...
