I know it has been a little silent here and I would attribute that to a untimely combination of happenings.
First it was me being caught up with work, followed by that long weekend break where I gave myself a time out from the computer and caught up with life. After all that, when I was about to settle down to kick start my blog again, there's the usual brain lag and as if to make things a little more trying, Onsugar had to start glitching. Again.
The glitch this time leaves me unable to post anything, nor even save a draft. The minute I hit 'Save Entry', it redirects me to the main site and I lose everything that is written. Yes, not fun at all.
I totally ranted about it on twitter because frankly I'm a little sick of the tiny bugs going around.
In the meanwhile, I am drafting this post from my backup Wordpress blog and just hoping for the glitch to be resolved. If you are reading this, chances are that it's working again! For now.
That being said, yes, I do apologize for the lull but I will admit that good long Hari Raya - National Day weekend where I took some time out from anything blog related (snapping pics, editing pics or drafting) felt like a nice break, after all that madness at work. Though it did kick me out of my blogging mojo.... but that's nothing a little brain recalibration can't fix!
Slowly but surely. Backlog is a'waitin.
Essay aside, I have some news to share!
I know, as if the entry isn't wordy enough already... but since this is wordy, I might as well make the most of it.
What sort of logic is that? Ha.
While the contest closed a good while ago, I wanted to wait till it was officially mentioned (on their Facebook Page) before I posted a shoutout.
Yes, remember my recent bugging? Well, thanks to everyone's efforts I am the Angelica Angel!
Though I think it sounds better if I say L'OCCITANE's Angelica Skincare Ambassador. Calling myself an angel is just...
Anyway, I have posted a little thank you blurb on Facebook and while this isn't some Grammy Awards, I think a thank you is still in order to show my gratitude.
Here's a huge THANK YOU to everyone that had taken time out of their day to like L'OCCITANE's page and cast a vote my way be it once, a few times or even every single day (as I know some have). While just a simple contest, the most rewarding portion of it isn't winning the title but rather knowing that I have the genuine support of friends, family and readers that makes this whole experience a whole lot more enriching apart from the sole aspect of it being some popularity contest.
I know it all sounds so paegant and bogus but I have no reason to feign the niceties given the contest is over. With everyone being so busy online right now, shout outs are often drowned out and a day can zoom by so quick so every vote counts. If you knew the margin in which I won by, you would understand the weight of that statement!
So yes, grandmother story aside, thank you all again for voting, for asking people around you to vote or voting on their behalf, hehh (you guys know who you are!).
With that said, since I have taken the Ambassador title you will see some L'OCCITANE mentions from me from time to time! I haven't had time to meet the team and discuss what happens here on but you will know when the wheels are in motion ;)
Thanks for reading and thank you again everyone, for just sticking by me!
Usual schedule and backlog clearing to resume soon and fingers crossed the glitch doesn't act up again.
