Hello everyone!

Just thought I would share my tiny clothing haul for the Chinese New Year period.

Why 'supposed'?

In my Chinese New Year post I mentioned that the stuff I got weren't quite fitting for the first few days of visiting hence I ended up recycling slightly older dresses (but still new in relatives' eyes!).

Not to say you can't wear these for Chinese New Year, but I didn't feel it was that appropriate for the situations.

We dropped by Topshop/Topman and by we I meant the boyfriend and brother. The initial idea was to just get some new clothes, and also some CNY clothes, for my brother who would be starting Polytechnic in a few months. In that process I ended up picking some for myself.

I've tried this pair shorts a couple of times and finally decided to cave and get it thinking it would be of good use in more casual CNY gatherings - that justified the pricetag of S$79.

The following two crop-tops are slightly more frivolous buys. For the fun of, I wanted to try some tops along with the shorts and I ended up really liking how they look on/together.

The first being this flare-sleeved top that has a light weight material, though it does stop and reveal a partial amount of the mid-riff. Though when paired with the shorts above, you wouldn't have to worry about showing too much skin anymore.

The next top is slightly longer yet still fashioned like a crop-top. It doesn't bear the mid-riff unless you raise your arms (and that lifts the shirt).

Okay, I know, the panther is a little.... ehh. That's what I thought too but this top is so comfy that I almost did not want to remove it in the fitting room. I got this in a size 'M' since they were out of 'S' and I liked it so much I didn't mind.

'M' is a slight bit roomier for me (then 'S' would b) and the neck cut is a little wide which allows me to almost wear it drop-shoulder on one side. Combining that with the long sleeves, soft and comfortable material, that is one cosy top!

It feels like one of those things you would wear over to a cooling place to just hang out and be all comfortable, violent panther print aside.

I did manage to wear the flare-sleeved top and shorts combo over the last weekend's visiting, will post pictures on that soon!
