I was tagged by retail_therapy to do the Top 5 Fave & 1 Least Fave Nail Polish tag. Now that's a really long tag name. Lol.
Nail polish has always been something I was interested in and collected, even though I do not quite share the same enthusiasm for it as I do for makeup. From what I can recall, I have been trying on nail polishes since primary school days. Wearing it during the holidays and having it removed just before school. Even then, my mom would make me wear the transparent shiny varnishes to school because she says they prevent the nails from breaking and makes them stronger. Believe it or not, she makes my brother wear it too.
Either ways, I digress. Let's get on to the tag.
First up we have the least favorite nail polish.
The sad thing is, my mom and I had just cleared out the nail polish drawer and disposed of all the crappy ones so I can't quite say I have a nail polish that is considered 'horrible' in the drawer now since it has been binned.
Nonetheless, I had to put something up for offer, and it is The Face Shop's Nail Polishes.
I can't quite choose any specific shade but these are the two that I own. The reason why I don't like them is that they are really sheer and you just can't build up enough color with these without getting a 1cm thick nail or something.
Now on to the varnishes that are in my top 5 favorites.
(in no particular order)

Sally Hanson Diamond Strength in Princess Pink
Super pretty pink-beige shade. Although the initial application is sheer, you can build this color up nicely to an opaque pink-beige shade.

Revlon Varnish in Revlon Red
Probably one of the most vivd red cream shades I have seen. This thing is definitely a bright hot red color on your nails in just one coat. A warning though, do wear a base coat under this, for those who don't. This color stains and is a little hard to remove. Not a color I like to wear too often since it's a hassle getting off.

Sally Hanson Xtreme Wear in Black Out
This one is pretty self-explanatory. Everyone needs a black polish in their collection and this is what I have with me right now.

LA Girl Nail Lacquer in French Kiss
I love nude lip colors and that definitely transcends into my nail polish color choices as well. This is a pretty nude shade that has a bit of shimmer in it so it doesn't look as if my nails are the exact same color as my skin (if that makes sense).

Majolica Majorca Nail Varnish in GR319
What can I say about this, it's definitely one of the most gorgeous emerald shade nail varnishes ever. I hardly see this sort of a shade around and although I was initially intimidated by the idea of having green nails, this really doesn't look 'scary-witch-like' on.
So that's my version of the tag and it says that I have to tag some people to do it.
However I have no idea how much this tag has circulated and who had/had not done it yet so I tag everyone that feels like doing this!
Simply post a URL with your blog entry if you did it and I'll go check it.
Thanks for reading loves!

great choice.

i love Revlon shades, and your right, you definitely have to use a base coat as their red colors really stick to the nail.
