Revlon Nail Polish in Pure Pearl
Well, not really platinum. I just like how that title sounds. haha!
I don't usually like to wear pearl-escent polish or metallic ones because of the visible stroke marks. Because I am not too fussy about my nails and usually want to get it done pronto that I rush through it, the result is that the brush marks aren't perfect.
But sporting these finishes instead of creams is a little refreshing, every once in awhile.
Also, this has got to be one of the most 'pigmented' whites/light shade that I have ever used. Meaning that most white pearls go on super sheer and you really have to build it up. Well, this was just 2 coats, and the second was just for that added intensity. You could definitely just stick with one if
you are in a hurry.

This combination is just awesome and it's what I have on the nails on my right hand now.
How I apply this is that I put on 1 layer of The Face Shop's black polish and then 1 layer of Sally Hanson's Purple Potion atop.
I find that the Sally Hanson polish alone is a wee bit sheer though it is still pretty.
Here's a swatch of 1 layer of the polish alone (courtesy of my brother for lending me his finger)

Pretty and all, but sheer.
However, here's the magic.
Over black polish, those blue reflects you see there totally come to life.

Not applied the best, but that's me and polish. It has to look decent, not necessarily manicured.
And also, because some might ask since I filmed a couple of videos with this current nail polish combination on.
I don't have the same nail color on my right and left hand. And no, I am not trying to be fancy or whatever with this. It's just that I've gotten back into playing the guitar (it's an on/off thing) and I have to have short nails on my right hand. When it comes to painting short nails, I like to have on black nail polish and that is it.
At the same time I still like to indulge in fancy colors and the pretty square-ish cut instead of blunt short nails.
So my left hand is a very uninteresting black polish with short nails.

I guess I like how black makes your nails look longer then they are. Maybe it's just me.
Either ways, thanks for reading!

Majolica Majorca Polish in shade VI112
I'm definitely loving how this shade turned out.
At first I was a little iffy about applying it since it is a pastel purple and I thought it would my skin look a sickly, but it didn't!
I probably slabbed on about 3 coats, although 2 is more then enough. I guess I wanted it to be a solid opaque shade. I wouldn't say this polish is as sheer as the Sally Hanson one, it just depends on how opaque you want it to look (and how much patience you have waiting for it to dry!)
Lately I have been moving away from black/dark nail colors and investing in Nude and lighter shades.
My favorite nail color to wear, aside from black, would have to be something that is fairly similar to my skintone but at the same time differs slightly. So as to prevent myself from looking as if I don't have nails or something...
Nonetheless, this is what I'm rocking as of now.
(I know my polish isn't perfect, I don't usually bother getting it super prefect unless I am going for a function)

For those who are considering of picking this polish up, I have a bit of a warning for you.
To get this opacity, I needed about 3 coats or so. Yes, it's sad how thin this polish is but it's definitely worth it if you've got time to kill.
