This haul entry is about the damage done at Expo the Friday before. I mentioned in an earlier LOTD about heading down to the Expo with the family. My intention was purely to check out the John Little sale and pick up some work attire, hence no makeup or toiletries here. This haul is pretty much all about clothes.
Once there, we side-tracked to the Adidas sale first as it was closest to where our car was parked. To get into the Adidas sale area you had to join a snaking queue, which we did join since the it moved quite fast.
The Adidas sale in general was so-so, not much of their shoes, bags or clothes caught my eye. My brother, boyfriend and I headed straight to the soccer jersey section. This was probably the highlight of the sale, they had some crazy discounts on past-season jerseys for most clubs under Adidas. I managed to snag 2 Liverpool goods that were going for almost 50% off!
The exhibition jersey (first photo) is not the proper size for me, but heck it's going for $50 and looks like a shirt-dress on... So I grabbed it.
After digressing with the Adidas sale, this was what I got from John Little.
My office dresscode isn't that strict and corporate. The big no-no is blue jeans and short-shorts, but otherwise we can pretty much wear anything that is presentable. Even with a lenient dress code, most of my bottoms are blue jeans so I wanted pick up some clothes to match around.
I got this basic (black) tank top as I like how it looked when I layered it under the loose flowy (grey) top when trying them on. I do like the material, fit and length of the black tank top too. I need to get more long fitting tunics to pair with leggings for work, throw on a blazer/jacket and it makes for a great comfy and appropriate attire.
And one more piece from FOX.
The tube alone is kind of blah but when paired with an jacket/blazer it is really quite nice.
Next item I got is a skirt from Surfers Paradise. It looks blah hung up like that but it caught my eye when it was on the mannequin.
I wore this skirt to the L'oreal event I attended last Saturday, so if you see photos of those, yes this was the skirt.
And the last couple clothing items are just from other brands I don't exactly recognise.
Just a simple cotton grey dress. My mom was asking how is this office-attire? But I guess I am lucky my work place isn't so strict with dresscodes, some of my colleagues wear sundresses and cardigans to work (:
The last item I picked up is not clothes but is actually a new bag! GUESS was having a discount on their bags and wallets at the sale and I just fell in love with this bag the moment I saw it.
This is not my default work bag but I felt I might need a bag with this theme for certain outfits I come up with.
My go-to work bag (not gotten from this haul) is this Kate Spade bag, and I don't change it unless it does not match my attire for that day.
This was sort of a Birthday plus 'Congrats on getting a job' gift from my god-parents and I like how huuuuge this bag is I can literally just throw things inside. It's structured well that it doesn't cave in at the bottom unless I put something really heavy inside.
But as you can see, it does not match every single attire so I wanted another bag of the 'opposite spectrum'.
So yes, that's my haul!
I am thinking to post up some work outfit of the day when I manage to take a photo of it (without being late!).
Good idea? Y/N?
Thanks for reading even though I haven't been the best at updating!
