Leonard Drake - new outlet at NEX!

By icyabstract · January 16, 2011 · 0 Comments ·

Taking a break from spring cleaning to post this up. I don’t normally blog solely from information via press release but as a favor for a friend of mine doing PR I want to give a shout out to Leonard Drake.

Leonard Drake has recently opened their 10th store at the new mega-mall that is NEX@Serangoon (which I have yet to visit but will next week!) and this new branch boasts a more spacious interior to house more treatment and facial rooms. On top of that it has a private room for skincare/makeup training sessions and a retail area titled Skin Bar for customers to peruse and test products.

The Leonard Drake branch in Nex@Serangoon will be offering the same signature treatments as their other branches.

If you are new to Leonard Drake, as I am, I have scanned through the treatments they provided via the press release and one caught my interest so I shall briefly elaborate on it.

One of the treatment rooms.

Pore Treatments, an issue that I am assuming would be of interest to most. Leonard Drake offers 3 types of treatments targeted at refining pores with the treatment price ranging from S$150 – S$320.

  • Dermtech Advanced Radiant Peel (around 80 minutes) – S$320 per session
This treatment combines Aesthipeel® and Isolifting™ techniques to help refine the pores, smoothen the skin texture while hydrating, lightening and brightening uneven skintones. Reading the blurb provided, the ‘active procedure’ of this treatment seems to be Microdermabrasion.
  • Calming Pore Clarifying Treatment (around 100 minutes) – S$180 per session
This is more of a calming treatment then the above mentioned and involves purifying the skin and gentle peeling followed by extraction.  The treatment is then wrapped up with an acupressure massage and a cold facial masque.
  • Ultra Sound Acne Healing Treatment (around 80 minutes) – S$200 per session
Like the name, this treatment uses ultrasound waves to that work on skin prone to acne scars. The waves are not harsh and help to accelerate the skin’s healing process via targeting cell renewal and repair.

All above-mentioned treatments finish off with a cold masque, including the Deep Pore Cleansing Treatment – S$150 (not mentioned).

It’s a lot to read, I know but I tried to summarize in my own style from the information provided. If you are interested, other treatments they offer are:

  • 24K Gold Facial (priced at S$400 per session)
  • Ultra Lifting Facial (priced at S$230 per session)

Skincare treatments in general are all in the hundreds, it sure is expensive being a girl!

Another piece of information I was informed about is a skincare workshop Leonard Drake’s skincare guru is hosting. There is a cost of S$50 (S$40 for OCBC members) to sign up for the workshop and I don’t think you can ‘pay by buying products’ – you know, that usual with beauty counters.

And also, a promotion they are currently having at the NEX branch is:

1st trial @ 50% off (treatment value min. $100)
Valid till 28 Feb 2011

Thanks for reading through all this info and I hope that it was of help to let you understand more about Leonard Drake. For the longest time ever I always thought they were a salon? I know, weird me…

I am also offered a facial treatment upon consultation with their therapist. This would be my first encounter with Leonard Drake, will report back on it.

On a side note, I have started shopping for my chinese new year clothes. Clothing haul entry, yay, nay? :) Thanks for reading, and hope you are enjoying the weekend!
