Okay, my blog has been nothing but a slew of Hello Kitty of late and for those who aren't fans of the cat, please forgive me with this post. Heh!
I don't know if it's possible to have a sudden obsession or new favorite color after having loved another for over 10 years but apparently that is happening to me right now.
I have a recent obsession with the, for better lack of descriptive words, Tiffany shade of blue (ish green?). All brand name aside, since I'm not jewelry junky, that shade of blue is gorgeous and I have always admired it but lately it's gotten a little out of hand.
Resulting in this random splurge but yet I second this splurge with the fact that I only have 1 pair of heels right now. Shock, horror right? 1 pair?!
The colors above are just a little bit lighter than what the shoes actually look like but I have a rather 'actual' representative later.
I love heels but I hardly wear them unless there is an occasion with a sufficient amount of dolling up to do for me to bear trotting around in heels. While I have no issues with walking around in heels and generally think the higher the better, in a practical walkable sense, I still think that we have sneakers and flats for a good reason.
All that aside, I just had to grab this pair when I saw it on the shelves at New Look.
(most true-to-life color representation of the heels in this picture!)
The only thing I don't like about it is the glossy exterior but I believe I can live with that.
I believe this new inclusion is also the highest pair I have, comparing it across the board with my heels and wedges, but it's decently comfortable due to the platform.
I would not imagine wearing this casually and often but it would be such a cute pair to color block or spice up a neutral toned outfit with. I just can't wait to find a suitable occasion to wear it to!
I think I can finally put a tick next to having a colored pair of heels, seeing as all the others I own are black, navy and white. Simple and easy matchy shades. I think while colored heels are a little harder to match, they are still good to have!
Do any of you have color-blocking heels? What shade is it in?
Thanks for reading!
