Remember the earlier mention about the Shu Uemura x Mamechiyo collaboration?

Well that collection is finally out on our shores, though as of now it is only available at the Shu Uemura flagship store in ION. It will start to reach the rest of the counters come April.

I had a little sit down session where I was introduced (not in person) to mamechiyo, a Japanese contemporary kimono artist. Shu Uemura is known to collaborate with various artists to celebrate the art of beauty or beauty of art, as seen with the previous Mika Ninagawa, Wong Kar Wai and more!

Like Mr Shu Uemura, mamechiyo embraces tradition with a contemporary and creative edge, giving a fusion to things both new and old.

This collection sees two like-minded philosophies coming together to deliver a beautiful spring-themed visual with flowers of bloom and a retro yet contemporary approoach. Very feminine, very alluring and visually poetic.

Dressing two of Shu Uemura's best selling products, the Cleansing Oil and UV Underbase Mousse (along with a playfully floral case), the floral variations come in 4 sorts and each bloom is made to match a woman's beauty.

The four spring flowers represented are Fuji, Sakura, Botan and Ume - four cherished blooms in Japan.

A little biased to have a mini write up purely for this Ume range but yes this is the newly reformulated Whitefficient range that I have given a mention about here! Along with the new Pink Purple UVUB Mousse that I have been intrigued about.

Of the designs, I like the Pink range one the most, especially the UVUB Mousse's casing! Though product-wise, my favorite of the three that I have tried would be Beige as that sits very nicely on my skintone and blends out perfectly.

Though, at random, I received the Whitefficient UVUB Mousse which I had been intrigued about (if you read my earlier mentions), so I'm excited to give this a shot and see how it compares. A girlfriend of mine bought it, and berated me for not telling her about the LE packaging, and loves it.

There is also a limited edition compact design for the Glowing Fit Lasting Foundation, featuring a burst of floral fun.

The collection will be launched island-wide in April though in the meantime it is already available at Shu Uemura's flagship store in ION.
