This space of mine seems to be a wee bit dull of late. Shall try to be more upbeat but somehow everything else is taking such a toll out of me all I want to do is sleep these days!
I haven't even been very tempted to watch Running Man either and would rather sleep over anything. And they say the older you grow, the lesser sleep you need? I must be doing something wrong!
But back to this....
I've always thought Dior polishes were pretty but was never entirely drawn to stepping into the world of Dior Vernis, until this!
Little finger pointing at Sophia who posted such lovely swatches of this shade that it was honestly all I thought about each time I walked by a Dior counter.
I will admit that if I walked by this bottle at the store I might not have given it a second look! In the bottle it's still beautiful and glistening blue but perhaps a little plain?
Maybe it's not all bad and there is still some magic within the bottle but loud and fun color-loving people will probably not give this shade a second look.
As this is my first Dior polish, I was quite surprised with the unique tapered brush tip.
But enough of me gushing over my first Dior polish acquisition. Here's how the shade looks on and I used 3 coats for this. You could sit with 2 if you prefer but the nail bed does peek through with 2 coats.
I think Glacier is the perfect name for this polish as the blue tones show up a lot more once applied but under light it flashes a pearly-blue with an icy sheen to it.
I'm a little sad I couldn't properly capture the sheen but what you see in the bottle? Yes that happens on the nails, though a lot milder.
I think I am going through a light, airy and soft phase with my nails which is so odd since Spring should be nearing the end? Hopefully I would give my darker tones more love soon but as of now I prefer those for my toes and light, soft shades on my hands.
Dior Vernis retails at S$37 each. (price increased... boo)
Are there any light and soft polish shades that you are in love with?
