This is a mini blog-only review of the Rhomlon palette that I own - the one with 24 shades.
It is blog-only review because I think this brand is something that is hard to acquire overseas. I don't even know if it is available outside of Singapore, or even Asia. Since I have more local viewers on my blog, this was a better place to post it on.
Also I have mentioned before in an entry that I love this palette and would be doing sort of a review about it since I don't think it gets as much love.
Here is how the palette looks like:
I bought this palette quite awhile back from SINMA for, get this, S$6.90!
That's about S$7 for 24 eyeshadows and averages out to be about 30cents an eyeshadow!
SINMA branches I know of - Clementi Interchange, Peninsula Plaza (not sure which exact building but somewhere near that stretch).
They do have several other styles of palettes available, some with blush shades and not as many eyeshadows etc. I don't know if all of these are still available and selling for the same price, since I haven't checked in awhile. Though I believe it should be.
So this palette right here, I absolutely love. I think that for the price you pay, it's quite awesome.
The colors are pretty there is a good range of them available within the palette. Also, they are rather pigmented!
Because I didn't quite have the space and time to swatch every color in order, here are some random swatches to give you an idea of how some colors wear.
(if you want to know which color is which on the palette, feel free to ask and I'll try to recall)
Almost all the colors in the palette have a sheen or shimmer to them (read: not glitter!) except for this one

That baby blue shade on the top right hand corner.
Here is a close up shot of all the colors again. My favorite color in this entire palette would have to be that burnt reddish brown (2nd row, under the blue eyeshadow)
One down-side, or at least something to note is that these colors do come off a little 'loose'.
When initially swatched this is what they could come off as:
But after blending it out with the brush, alls good.
So my advice would be to pat the eyeshadow on before proceeding to blending it out and all that.
I know that there have been a couple of pretty awesome and cheap eyeshadow palettes being discovered and I think it's so cool that FINALLY we get pretty good quality items for a great value.
I have been thinking to do a tutorial with this since the colors are real pretty, but you know with this thing being a little hard to attain for some viewers (outside of Singapore)... I'll feel a little bad. Though I'll probably carry through with doing a tutorial since the colors are not insanely unique that it is impossible to find a close dupe of.
Overall Rating: Fail / Pass / Merit / Distinction / High Distinction
(comparing price value to quality!)
Pigmentation: 4/5
Texture: 3/5
Packaging: 4/5 - compact, nice mirror size, pretty sturdy.
Would I re-purchase this? Yes, though I don't think I would need to. But I wouldn't mind checking out their other palettes and sets.
